Objective / Challenge

To compile texts and illustrations by various artists of 40 different historical shops in Lisbon and present it in an attractive layout that will serve as a visual documentation of the city’s traditional commerce, published by Zestbooks.

Solution

The minimal and consistent layout guide the reader, while always honouring the illustrations as the protagonists of the book. A colour palette was created from vibrant hues taken from the original illustrations, which appear in the letterforms and in details throughout the book.
